Get Dog alley at Canton Trade days shut down

‘Dog alley’ has been a well known section included in Canton, Texas’s. First Monday Trade days. For those unfamiliar with First Monday it’s the world’s largest flea market and takes place the first weekend of every month. The event hosts over 5000 venders and attracts thousands of guest on top of that. ‘Dog Alley’ is a section of this flea market where breeders or just your average joe sell various dog breeds, cats, different birds, and even more exotic animals such as flying squirrels. It’s very obvious that there’s no rules in place, or if there are they simply just aren’t followed. If you stroll over to this area of First Monday you’ll see tons of animals in horrible living conditions, practically piled on top of each other in small cages. It isn’t uncommon to see puppies and kittens in wire cages without food and water, some cages in direct sunlight for hours on end, maybe even the entire weekend. This is just cruel, and if that isn’t enough local rescuers have even reported finding animals in boxes taped without air dumped on nearby backroads after the weekend ends without them being purchased. Local law enforcement knows of this issue and don't intervene, lets take it upon ourselves to have something done about this. Shut down ‘Dog alley’.
