...Now has a name. Currently standing at 1790 signatures, the petition met with Armando on Friday 18th for the first time. The hour long meeting confirmed our stance and documented tohe current situation. We also undertook to review the situation with regards planning permission for the RSGB and fed back some notes. We also asked them to publicise our petition. From our meeting, it was confirmed that Armando is still experiencing bullying and this sparked a letter to the head of community services because of the risk. We also took the time to express surprise at the way this whole affair has been handled, pointing out all the complaints about the antenna were easily refuted and part of a vendetta which really should have been spotted. We also asked why the following weren't seen as factors in the resolution of the problem: The mental health services emphasise that a hobby is essential for maintaining physical and mental health - especially in retirement. ACAS now say that bullying like this is harmful to mental and physical health - PTSD results. Prolonged exposure to stress causes brain damage. Moving house has for a long time been known to be a stressful event. Loneliness is a problem in the elderly, Armando lives on his own and (clearly his means of combating loneliness have been revoked). Our campaign thinks the councils job, with others, is to facilitate the health and well-being of its residents. The council is responsible for dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour and hate crime. I will keep you posted and put the letter where it can be seen when it has been posted but in the mean time we noted the times when we get most responses to the petition was just after donations were made. Please could you keep sharing and help by donating if you want to further contribute? Best wishes, and 73 de Stu
