I am wife and mother to 2 that are all Volunteer FD members and I see some of what they do day in and day out.

The state has put it in the hands of our county to also say Thank You to our firefighters. Cannon County Commissioners have said no to this because money is more important than doing something nice and showing their gratitude to our Firefighters! In the link I have also provided says and I agree with “they work all day and come home for supper with their family just to get a call and have to leave out”. We have about 88 volunteers that do not get paid they volunteer cause they want to help our community so why can’t we say Thank you to them by 1 small gesture? 

They come out to save our homes, help in accidents, when they need to airlift someone to the hospital and help a family find a child that is missing. They do so much that not everyone realizes. 

I pray you will find it in your heart and want to say Thank you to our Volunteer Firefighters by signing this petition and telling our comissioners that we don’t agree with them and they need to fix this. Give them 1 free tag in their household.
