PG&E Transmission Pipes Are More Prone to Failure After the 11-60 Foot Redwoods Were Removed

Please read article below very carefully and notice the similarities. Soil settling and extreme bends in pipe segments are a major problem. The steep rolling hills are a problem as well. PG&E added a 6 inch pipe to provide gas for the new fire department we found out from the contractor. This will require PG&E to increase the pressure significantly. This line is already a major risk due to its age and the to severe 90 degree angles in our neighborhood. The pipe runs down a very steep hill then makes a hard left turn. The water table is very high due to a naturally occurring creek on the hill. Now that PG&E cut down the 11- 60 foot Redwood trees on Pebble Lane, the pipe is completely encased in water and in very unstable ground. There is a "Soil Stiffness" report on this petition. This is the science proving that the pipes are more susceptible to damage after the trees are removed.
