The Issue

With a broken heart and tears for the victims, I urgently call on the Australian Government to immediately cancel the visa of Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz.

On 29 October 2025, the world watched in horror as Tanzanian security forces unleashed a brutal massacre on innocent civilians — men, women, and young people peacefully protesting a disputed election. Hundreds were gunned down in cold blood, their lives cut short in a nightmare that has left families shattered and a nation grieving.

Instead of standing with the victims and condemning the bloodshed, Diamond Platnumz used his powerful voice and influence to openly support the regime responsible for this horror. His words added salt to the wounds of a traumatised people.

When furious Tanzanians reacted with outrage — attacking the homes and businesses of artists who backed the regime — Diamond Platnumz quickly deleted his supportive posts. But deleting words does not erase the pain he helped cause, nor does it bring back the lives that were stolen.

Australia is a country that stands for compassion, justice, and human rights. We cannot welcome or platform someone who publicly defended the massacre of innocent civilians, then tried to quietly delete the evidence when the backlash came.

This petition is not about silencing an artist — it is about refusing to give comfort to those who justify atrocities. Every signature honours the victims whose blood still cries out for justice.

I beg the Australian Government: review Diamond Platnumz’s visa immediately and send a clear message that Australia will never turn a blind eye to those who endorse the murder of the innocent.

Please sign and share this petition. Stand with the grieving families in Tanzania. Let us show that, in our nation, human lives matter more than fame or entertainment.
