In light of the tragic events that occurred Sunday night, this petition conveys to UVA leadership that students want time to heal. A violent act on campus has impacted people's mental health, causing extreme stress and profoundly changing how we view our community. Not to mention, we all handle loss differently, and to expect students to perform in the classroom while grappling with these emotions is an unfair ask.  

If you support not having classes for the remainder of the school week (11/16-11/22) and wish for the university to allow students to return home immediately, please sign and share this petition.
