I now have well over 13,000 signatures and am planning to deliver my petition at the beginning of October. As well as support from you, I have received comments via Twitter and Facebook from people who think that my petition is not democratic. It occurs to me that others may think the same. I have shared the following definition of democracy with detractors : "A system of government by the WHOLE population or ALL the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives." If you know of anyone who may be keen to support cancellation of Brexit, or anyone who is becoming more concerned as the implications of leaving the EU become apparent, please do let them know that this petition is not undemocratic and seek their signatures. I plan to begin my cycle ride at the end of September and would like as much support as possible before I leave.
