Canadian Government to Take Actions Against Racial Discrimination

Canadian Government to Take Actions Against Racial Discrimination
The Issue
We respectfully urge the Government of Canada to provide protection and support for Indian-born Canadians, immigrant canadian who are facing alarming levels of racism and discrimination. The escalating severity of this issue extends from social media platforms to real-life experiences and workplaces, striking fear into the hearts of innocent individuals. Violent racial crimes are reportedly being aggravated by outlets like TikTok. Our religious ceremonies are being mocked and our food is being subjected to much derision. Indians, who form a valuable part of Canadian society, are increasingly afraid to even partake in regular activities such as a visit to the beach. Statistics from a Canada Statistics survey, 2016, reveal that 1 in 5 Canadians are born overseas, underscoring the multicultural fabric of our nation. Recognizing such diversity should be paramount rather than a source of division. It is crucial that the government steps in to ensure that every Canadian, regardless of their ethnicity, feels safe and respected. We must foster an atmosphere of inclusivity and camaraderie within Canada and work together against such divisive hate. Please sign this petition to urge the Government of Canada to address this grave issue and work ceaselessly towards a Canada free of racial discrimination.
