Every year countless animals , wild and domestic die, and countless homes burn down due to fireworks being set off on personal properties.  What is often seen as a fun celebration is extremely harmful to our environment and animals that share our land.

Due to the pandemic many people have switched to setting off fireworks in their own yard. Fireworks are extremely dangerous and a fire hazard . They should not be recklessly used , or used in areas that have a lot of wildlife , dense population or livestock.

Fireworks should not be available in large quantities to the public , the age at which you can acquire fireworks should increase and we need more restrictions on where people can set off fireworks. 

We are calling upon our municipal,  provincial and federal government to show that this is a problem within our communities and we need their help to fix it before anymore tragic accidents come from this.
