Canada’s promise of Multiculturalism and Religious Freedom is still under threat!

The Issue

Join me and other concerned Canadians in denouncing Quebec’s Bill 21 - a law passed in June 2019 to prevent religious symbols in the workplace.

In the name of secularism, this law robs public service workers - such as teachers, health care professionals, postal workers and more - the right to express themselves and show pride in their faith or spiritual tradition.

Imagine a crown attorney prosecuting a citizen in court for committing a Hate Crime only to be forced to hide her own religious symbol, whether that is a turban, hijab, cross, or kippah.

Bill 21 not only effects public sector workers today, but all those who contemplate such careers in the future, as it creates an unwelcoming work environment and a denial of one’s heritage and identity.

Multiculturalism - the fabric of our being - is at stake!

"Bill 21 is a law which disproportionately impacts people who are already marginalized."

Bill 21 is unconstitutional and discriminatory.
Bill 21 violates the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Bill 21 violates the Canadian Multiculturalism Act.
Bill 21 does not reflect Canadian values.

Bill 21 has a chilling effect on all of us and will lead to more intolerance and hate.

Citizens of Canada should NOT have to choose between "their identity and their profession”.

Let’s not let this misguided and unconstitutional law remain. Add your voice.

Stand with me for Multiculturalism and Faith and Spiritual Freedom!
