Our Open Letter to the Chair of the Canada Post Board of Directors, André Hudon, was released at the beginning of this week and no response or acknowledgment has been received from the Board, the Chair, the President, or the Minister responsible, Hon. Joël Lightbound.

We’ve also reached out twice to our local MP, Will Greaves, who previously committed to raising this issue with the Minister. As of today, we have not received a reply.

The planned closure of the Vic West postal outlet is now just 10 days away (October 28). Due to public concern, our petition has now passed 680 signatures, reflecting how deeply this decision affects our community.

Canada Post’s silence only reinforces the need for accountability in how decisions are made about essential public services. The community deserves answers and we’re continuing to press for them.
