SAVE HULLY HOUSE

SAVE HULLY HOUSE
Why this petition matters

As of this year, Camosun College will be launching a Master Plan to modernise the two campuses it operates.
Lansdowne Campus, more architecturally diverse than Interurban, will be seeing the most changes, including the construction of a student housing facility.
The site of this housing facility is currently occupied by a 1915 character home, known as Hully House.
The home earns its name from the late Frederick Charles Lewis Hully, the last homeowner, and has been used for storage since Mr. Hully passed in 1991.
Although the other homes on Lansdowne Campus are named for the first resident of each house, Hully is named for her last resident. In keeping with tradition, then, Hully House would be the William Rew-Sayer House.
Hully House's days are numbered, and it's only a matter of time until its demolition will begin, and Camosun will let a hundred-year-old house slip off of the side of the world without giving it a heritage building designation. Such a designation prevents a building from being demolished regardless of intent.
WE NEED YOUR HELP. WE CANNOT DO THIS ALONE
