I write to you with a heavy heart about the devastating war in Sudan. Two powerful militias that formed the country's military are waging a catastrophic conflict, resulting in the loss of countless innocent lives, the displacement of tens of thousands, and the destruction of critical infrastructure. Relief organizations had to leave, embassies closed, and countries evacuated their nationals, leaving the Sudanese people alone in the face of brutal adversity.

The use of heavy weapons, missiles, and fighter jets in cities has destroyed hospitals, pharmacies, and other vital infrastructures, leaving the Sudanese people stranded without access to necessities such as water and food. Transportation and civilian vehicles are being systematically targeted, and the situation is rapidly deteriorating.

As members of the global community, we must come together and help those in need. We are calling upon Elon Musk and his company, Starlink, to provide free satellite internet to the Sudanese people who are currently stranded in the war zone without access to the internet.

Starlink has made a significant difference in Ukraine and Sable Island, providing essential communication infrastructure after the Russian invasion and devastating storm, respectively. With the Sudanese people facing an equally dire situation, Starlink's satellite internet service could be the difference between life and death.

We must remember that in today's interdependent world, a crisis in any part of the world is a crisis for all of us. The Covid-19 pandemic and the Ukraine war have shown us that we are all interconnected, and our fates are intertwined. When we come together, we can make a superpower that can defeat any adversity.

I urge you to sign this petition and join us in calling upon Elon Musk and Starlink to save the Sudanese people by providing them with free satellite internet. When people are connected, they can be informed, make fateful decisions, and be heard.
