The Issue

The Issue

For decades, serious allegations of stalking, sexual harassment, abuse of power, and misconduct have followed Sheriff Mike Boudreaux—from 1989 to the present day. Multiple women and community members have come forward with testimony before the Tulare County Board of Supervisors, yet these claims remain uninvestigated by the very office meant to uphold justice.

Now, a grassroots recall effort led by Pastor Isabel Vela and Our Father's Home is demanding accountability. But before a recall can proceed, we need the truth. We need a full investigation.

The Petition

To District Attorney Tim Ward and the Tulare County District Attorney's Office:

We, the undersigned residents of Tulare County and concerned citizens, urgently call upon you to fulfill your duty to investigate the numerous allegations of stalking, sexual harassment, misconduct, and abuse of power made against Sheriff Mike Boudreaux—allegations that have spanned from 1989 to the present day.

These serious claims have been brought forward in public testimony before the Tulare County Board of Supervisors by multiple individuals, including Pastor Isabel Vela of "Our Father's Home" and Aleisha & Joe Campos. The allegations involve:

Unwanted sexual conduct, inappropriate advances, and a hostile environment
Retaliation, threats, surveillance, and intimidation against employees who spoke out
Favoritism, disparate discipline, and unequal treatment of deputies
Inadequate investigations, cover-ups, and protection of favored personnel
A persistent pattern of stalking and concerning behavior spanning decades
We are asking for:

A full and transparent investigation into all allegations against Sheriff Mike Boudreaux
A public accounting of why these documented claims have not previously been pursued
Protection of victims and witnesses who have come forward to share their experiences
Transparency with the community regarding the status and findings of any investigation

Why This Matters

The people of Tulare County deserve a District Attorney's Office that takes all allegations of misconduct seriously—no matter the length of time that has passed. When victims repeatedly come forward with testimony spanning decades, it is the duty of our elected officials to listen, investigate, and act accordingly.

Sheriff Mike Boudreaux is entrusted with the safety of our families, our communities, and our deputies. When leadership is toxic, it affects every deputy, every victim, every witness, and every family in Tulare County. We cannot afford leadership that creates fear instead of trust.

The failure of media and law enforcement to address these claims has left survivors without recourse and the community without answers. This cannot continue. The recall effort led by Our Father's Home shows that the community is ready for change—but we need the facts first.

A History of Inaction & What's at Stake

Tim Ward has faced challengers in past elections. In 2014, he ran against Ralph Kaelble, a former assistant district attorney who campaigned on bringing more accountability to the office. In 2018, former Kings County prosecutor Matt Darby challenged Ward, making Ward's lack of action in the HCCA hospital investigation a central point of criticism. Ward won both of those races.

As of today, there is no public documentation or announcement that Tim Ward is running for re-election in 2026. The election is approaching, and voters deserve to know whether he plans to seek another term—and more importantly, whether he will fulfill his duty to investigate these serious allegations before asking for our trust again.

Who We Are

We are residents of Tulare County, survivors, advocates, and community members who refuse to remain silent while allegations of this magnitude go unaddressed. We believe in accountability, justice, and the protection of our most vulnerable community members.

The allegations brought before the Tulare County Board of Supervisors on July 21, 2026, are not the beginning or the end of this issue. We stand alongside Our Father's Home, Pastor Isabel Vela, and all the victims who have bravely come forward.
