We, concerned citizens of Arewa (Northern Nigeria) and members of the global Muslim community, call on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to investigate and take action against Nigerian politicians who exploit the sacred Hajj pilgrimage for political gain rather than religious devotion.

Over the years, certain Nigerian political figures have turned this holy obligation into a symbolic political parade, using state resources and media attention to promote personal agendas. This not only disrespects the spiritual essence of Hajj but also undermines the integrity of our democratic and religious institutions.

We request the Saudi authorities, especially the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Saudi Embassy in Nigeria, to:

1. Scrutinize applications from Nigerian public officeholders for signs of political misuse.
2. Require transparency in sponsorship and funding of Hajj trips by politicians.
3. Sanction or deny visas to individuals abusing Hajj for non-spiritual motives.

We believe in the sanctity of Hajj and ask for your support to protect its integrity from political pollution.
