Call for the termination of Dan Rowe from Bay County TDC & PCB CVB

Call for the termination of Dan Rowe from Bay County TDC & PCB CVB
The Issue
In recent years, under the leadership of Dan Rowe, who currently serves as the President and CEO of the Panama City Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the executive director of the Bay County Tourist Development Council (TDC), there has been a significant lack of oversight on financial controls. Alarmingly, this negligence has resulted in at least $100,000 in fraudulent charges with potential misuse amounting to as much as $1,000,000 in TDC Bed Tax funds. This gross mismanagement and lack of accountability demand immediate action.
Moreover, since 2016, Mr. Rowe's leadership has been marred by ineffective strategies that have led to the CVB & TDC failing to implement any meaningful improvements in Panama City Beach's Spring Tourism season. Despite the potential for economic growth and tourism, the region has suffered from a significantly negative public perception. This issue has resonated widely, impacting regional, national, and even international news channels, tarnishing Panama City Beach’s reputation as a tourist destination.
The continuation of these failures cannot be justified or tolerated any longer. The community deserves leaders who are not only financially responsible but also proactive in enhancing the area's appeal and tourism industry. It is time for decisive action to usher in a new chapter of transparency, efficiency, and positive development in our cherished city.
By calling for the termination of Dan Rowe from his roles at the Panama City Beach CVB and Bay County TDC, we aim to restore confidence, accountability, and integrity to our community's leadership. We urge the authorities in power to address these grave concerns promptly and responsibly.
We need your support in advocating for this change. Let's come together to demand better leadership for Panama City Beach. Please sign this petition and let your voice be heard for the future of our community.
