I began this petition out of personal concern for the state of human rights in our country under the leadership of Donald Trump. The consistent acts of negligence and willful ignorance have led to a breach of trust. Not only do numerous citizens feel marginalized, but the overall unity and integrity of our country are also being compromised.

Reports show an alarming trend: the separation of immigrant children from their parents, the rollback of environmental protections, attempting to ban transgender individuals from serving in the military, and undermining the nation's healthcare system, to name just a few. These aren't isolated instances, rather they represent a longer trend of actions (source: Amnesty International USA) detrimental to a large part of the population.
