We start this call with a personal tragedy, a country in flames due to unprovoked aggressors. I'm an individual whose birthplace is being utterly consumed, swallowed whole by the flames of war ignited by none other than Russia, commanded by Vladimir Putin. And yet the United Nations, a once respected powerhouse, does nothing to quench the flames. Even worse, Ukraine, my home, my place of birth, is being unjustly blamed for actions easily classified as war crimes, while Russia faces no repercussions. This senseless game has continued as if everything is normal, with the UN's own Secretary-General António Guterres meeting Putin in person. This gross lack of sensitivity and clear bias can no longer be ignored. It is time that we call into question the funding of an organization that fails to make the world better.

With the ongoing war in Ukraine nearly marking its 3-year anniversary and the relentless attacks on Israel, the UN's inaction is no longer tolerable. As global citizens, we must demand accountability and efficiency from institutions that put themselves forward as global peacekeepers. Hence, we call upon governments and private individuals to reassess the funding they allocate to the United Nations - an organization that presently fails to fulfill its intended purpose.
