PETITION CALLING FOR SENATOR RODRIC D. BRAY TO STEP DOWN AS PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE OF THE INDIANA SENATE

In the aftermath of the May 5, 2026 Indiana Republican Primary, Hoosier voters delivered a clear and unmistakable message: the grassroots base is demanding authentic conservative leadership that listens to the people and respects the voice of Republican primary voters.

Reports from multiple legislators and political insiders indicate that Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric D. Bray actively pressured senators to oppose conservative challengers and assured them that President Donald J. Trump was "bluffing" and would not endorse or support America First candidates in Indiana.

The results of the primary proved otherwise.

Candidates aligned with President Trump and the grassroots movement achieved significant victories, demonstrating that Indiana Republicans are no longer willing to accept establishment politics, backroom deal-making, and leadership that dismisses the concerns of conservative voters.

As President Pro Tempore, Senator Bray holds one of the most powerful positions in Indiana government. That office demands sound judgment, political awareness, and leadership that reflects the will of Republican voters. By misreading the political landscape and allegedly using his influence to discourage support for conservative candidates, Senator Bray has shown that he is out of touch with the grassroots movement that now defines the Republican Party.

For these reasons, we respectfully call upon Senator Rodric D. Bray to resign as President Pro Tempore of the Indiana Senate and allow new leadership to emerge that better represents the values and priorities of Indiana Republicans.

We further urge members of the Indiana Senate Republican Caucus to elect leadership committed to transparency, constitutional principles, limited government, and an America First agenda.

The voters have spoken. The message is clear. It is time for new leadership in the Indiana Senate.
