Call for Review of Anthony Lee Jackson Jr.’s Case by Commonwealth Attorney Shannon Taylor!

Call for Review of Anthony Lee Jackson Jr.’s Case by Commonwealth Attorney Shannon Taylor!
The Issue
Anthony Lee Jackson Jr. is wrongfully incarcerated at Sussex I State Prison in Virginia. He has served six years for this case, and the judge sentenced him to 51 years total—20 years suspended and 31 years active incarceration—imposed in a stacked manner rather than concurrently. Anthony was arrested before his daughter was born, and today she is six years old and growing up without him, which causes him immense emotional distress daily.
- This petition is based on serious concerns about how the case was handled, including blatant falsehoods presented to the judge—falsehoods that can be verified with just one review of the incident reports from the investigative file.
- Anthony’s defense counsel failed to obtain vital reports and key witness statements/testimony needed to properly present the evidence to the judge.
- Anthony’s advocacy team now has access to exculpatory materials connected to his case, including witness descriptions that do not match Anthony’s appearance; multiple angles of surveillance video that corroborate a description of a light-skinned male robber; GPS tracking data tied to the vehicle used in the incident; and incident reports indicating detectives interviewed multiple employees at the establishment that was robbed—documents that appear to be missing from the prosecution file, among other items.
There was also another suspect charged and arrested for this same crime. That individual was not tested for DNA to compare against DNA found on clothing items which were found in HIS grandmother's home. In addition, this suspect rented the vehicle the robber left the crime scene in, denied lending the vehicle to anyone during police interrogation and a detective of Henrico PD documented seeing this suspect NOT ANTHONY operating the vehicle post robbery, as seen in a written report.
Importantly, Anthony’s case was decided by a judge as the sole fact finder—there was no jury. We are calling on Virginia Commonwealth Attorney Shannon Taylor, who has the power to review these facts and take action, to deliver justice in Anthony’s case. We have requested meetings with her but have not been able to secure one yet, and at this time there is no open line of communication. We are asking for your support to help spread awareness and encourage action so Anthony’s case can be reviewed fairly and thoroughly.
PLEASE HELP US TO REUNITE A LOVING FATHER WITH HIS DAUGHTER, A HUSBAND WITH HIS WIFE AND A FAMILY MAN WITH HIS LOVING CLOSE-KNIT FAMILY AND COMMUNITY!!!
