NEWS: Call For NHS to Give Women with Dense Breasts Extra Cancer Scans 

A Cambridge University-led trial has published a paper which highlights the need for change in breast cancer screening for women with dense breasts.  

A new approach could make a difference, detect cancers earlier and save lives.  

The Department of Health and Social Care said its screening advisory body had been looking at ways to improve detection rates in women with very dense breasts for a number of years.

A Call for Action to bring about this change is now urgently needed.
