The Dense Breasts screening study (called BRAID) continues in some towns in the UK.  Women attending mammogram appointments, if found to have a large amount of dense breast tissue, may be invited to participate in the study.  This means they may be offered extra screening.

I have heard from some women with dense breasts, who have participated, received further screening, and their cancers have been found. 

Even if your local breast screening centre is NOT offering the BRAID study, when you attend, take with you the Dense Breast Patient Fact Sheet (below) and ASK ABOUT YOUR BREAST DENSITY! (or contact me at: breastdensitymatters.uk@gmail.com)
