Call for an EGM
Call for an EGM
The Issue
As dedicated members of our club, we are deeply concerned with the growing disquiet within the organisation.
Serious accusations of bullying involving members have been reported. The club's efforts to resolve these claims, and to conclusively determine their merit, have unfortunately not yielded a satisfactory outcome to date, leaving a cloud of uncertainty.
The seriousness of these allegations, and the potential for lasting damage to the reputations of individuals and to the club itself, calls for a clear and impartial path forward. We advocate for an independent and confidential investigation, led by an independent and neutral expert, to definitively establish the facts. This objective approach is vital to ensure that any decisions made are grounded in truth, rather than influenced by personal perspectives or rumour.
We are therefore requesting your support through your signature to call for an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) where we can vote on the following:
The initiation of an independent investigation into all claims of bullying raised in recent years, and the subsequent treatment of the claimants. The investigation should include the examination of all relevant facts, and the resulting report should set out clear findings and recommendations, with proper consideration given to explaining the conclusions to all parties involved, includingboth the complainants and the accused. It is preferable that the Chair of the British Triathlon Federation be appointed to conduct the investigation
This issue demands resolution so that we can either protect vulnerable individuals within our community or unequivocally support the good standing of the accused, thereby restoring unity and trust within our club.
Please sign this petition and join us in seeking a fair and transparent resolution for our club.
