We’re aware that a number of strong views have recently been shared on the Club Facebook page regarding the upcoming EGM. It’s natural for opinions to form quickly online, but many of the comments appear to come from people who don’t know us personally, aren’t familiar with the full history, or haven’t had the chance to speak with us directly. Others may have only heard one version of events and accepted it in good faith.
When discussions become polarised, a single narrative can take hold very easily. But as with any long running issue, there is more than one perspective, and a fair understanding only comes from looking at all the available information. Before deciding how to vote, we ask members to pause and consider how they would feel if a decision that affected them was made solely on the basis of someone else’s account, without their side being heard. None of us would want to be judged that way — and the same principle applies here.

Everyone is entitled to their view. We ask only that an independent and impartial person or body review the facts and form a view on the conduct of all parties on the evidence available. We hope that all fair-minded people will support this view. We are sure you will.
