Ben Habib Must Call an Advance UK General Meeting

The Issue

Advance UK members have been ignored by the leadership. Our Constitution, viewable at advanceuk.org.uk/constitution, explicitly serves as a binding contract between the leadership of Advance UK and every member associated with it. This document is the bedrock of our operations, detailing the duties and responsibilities of those who hold power within our party.

In Article 15.4, the Constitution clearly stipulates that any director acting alone below the required quorum is limited to performing two specific actions: appointing additional directors or calling a general meeting. The current situation is concerning, as Ben, a sole director since 4 December 2025, has not adhered to these constitutional requirements. For six consecutive months, he has neither appointed additional directors nor initiated the call for a general meeting.

He is therefore constitutionally obliged to call a general meeting right now. No vote. No ballot. Just compliance with the Constitution he agreed to uphold. At that meeting, properly convened and properly conducted, you — the members — can decide the future of this Party. Including who leads it.

Further grounds for a general meeting:

  • No Board of Directors has been appointed as Article 22.2 requires.
  • No Treasurer has been appointed since registration in breach of Article 10.4 and PPERA .
  • Ben is Chairman of GBPAC — the organisation he wants to merge your Party into, and he has never declared a conflict of interest in breach of Article 18 and the Companies Act 2006.
  • The Party's assets cannot lawfully be transferred to GBPAC regardless of any vote.
  • The ballot was anonymous, unverifiable, and administered with no agreed protocol by a GBPAC founding member.

By signing this petition, you are asserting the importance of holding our leaders accountable. It is a stand for constitutional compliance, transparency, and responsible leadership. Join us in urging Ben to fulfil his constitutional duties by calling a general meeting without further delay.
