Friends of a flowing Kern River,

Your support of this petition and the growing momentum to get water back in the river continues to provide opportunities to allow this issue to get in front of more members in our community. 

Not long ago, the dry Kern River was covered in an interview on KGET's "Kern County in Depth." Host Jim Scott interviewed Lia Mendez, a Bring Back the Kern Committee member, Rich O'Neil, co-founder of the Kern River Parkway Foundation, and Lois Henry, a long time Kern County journalist who has been covering water issues for decades.
