Please PHONE your Assemblymember as soon as possible – definitely before Thursday morning – to express your opposition to AB 706 (Cooley). This bill is up for a vote on the Assembly Floor as early as this Thursday May 20.
Mr. Cooley says he is trying to fix a legal problem with money appropriated for work on the restored State Capitol; he is telling members that it is a technical fix.We think it’s more, and we think AB 706 will make it easier for this billion dollar boondoggle to be built.

What to say: Give your name; say you are a constituent and ask the member to vote no on AB 706 on the Assembly Floor. You can cite the reasons above or more general opposition to the Project as it’s currently designed.
