With recent events regarding the case of "Lexi" and the Foster Family known as Rusty and Summer Page, of Santa Clarita, Los Angeles County, California; we are putting forth this petition to have the foster license of this foster family revoked permanently.

     It is clear that this family does not understand that children "Not Available for Adoption" means they are not available. They have clearly put their needs and desires above the best interest of the child they called "Lexi" and repeatedly refused to return the child when it was time; even after court orders to do so. Their loss of monthly stipend for foster care raises flags of concern on this matter as well.

      There is nothing more painful for a parent than to have a child taken away and kept under false pretenses, using social media and news media to gain support to continue their actions.

     We the undersigned also understand that this child is the biological child of a member of the Choctaw nation; which means that she was also supposed to be protected by the ICWA (Indian Child Welfare Act).

These are the tribes Federally recognized: Federally Recognized Tribes

     Tribal membership is determined by the Sovereign Nation making that decision, not by social media or one-sided news reports that spin stories to draw sympathies for criminals.

     Children who are covered by this, are members of Sovereign Nations, and by their own actions, the Pages' kept this child and made her a political prisoner of a system that was intended to protect her from such actions.

Removing children from families and allowing adoptions without any regard to family, is kidnapping no matter how you word it.

     In families where the child is truly Caucasian or African-American, would this kind of behavior of allowing a foster family to adopt a child with little resistance occur while capable biological family grieves on the sidelines, being cut from their lives? I seriously doubt it. 

     We, the undersigned of the petition, bring this petition before you, to stop this kind of political maneuvering that continues to perpetrate the genocide of our communities and families of all Native American Tribes and Communities.

     We bring this petition to you to be the first to make a real difference in this system. We ask you to hold the Foster Family known as Rusty and Summer Page accountable for their actions; and set an example of recompense for their actions.

     We have put forth a great deal of research on our own time, to assist with this cause and will continue. We plan to continue this research, to further the awareness of this petition and prevent future catastrophes such as this from happening to any other families.

The guidelines and mandates for becoming a foster family are clearly stated on your website; as well as references and resources that define the expectations and responsibilities of the foster family for a minor child that is in need of temporary placement.

     Support the termination of the Pages' Foster License and set a precedence for consequences to those who abuse their position to steal children from any family for any reason.
