We are excited to announce to all who signed our Change.org petition for Thornton Beach Bluff Preserve that the landowner-developer deal to purchase the land at the Mar Vista Stables did not go through.

We are hopeful that the landowners will ultimately take us up on our original proposal to buy the land so that we can protect it and our beloved barns forever. 

We want to thank everyone for the tremendous outpouring of support for our efforts. Without your signatures on the petition, ongoing commitment and offers to get involved to help save the last public access to horseback riding in the Bay Area, we might be facing a very different situation a year an a half later. Please accept our grateful appreciation.

Life at the barn is in full swing. Zach has purchased about 10 horses and is making upgrades on the property. Summer camp, riding lessons and trail rides are thriving and riders, the cut is beautifully groomed thanks to a recent tractor run.
