Cali's Crossings : Pedestrian Safety Initiative
The Issue
On December 15, 2025, my daughter Cali Agent left to walk home. It was a six-minute walk. Four minutes into that walk, she was fatally struck while crossing the street on Regent and Hearne . What should have been a quick trip became a tragedy. This is one of many preventable deaths in Shreveport alone more than 60 people of various ages have lost their lives due to a lack of cross walks, sidewalk space, and proper street lighting. Nothing will bring Cali home, but together we can make sure no other family gets the news that their loved one isn't coming home.
Who Was Cali?
Cali was an animal lover, a daughter, a loyal friend, an honor student, and a bright light. Kitty ,as she was called by her friends and family, loved cats, roses, purple braids, KPOP, laughter, and making people smile.

Message From Cali's Mother:
It was a six-minute walk. Four minutes into that walk, she was killed. I was walking toward the corner to meet my daughter , but I was met with her death. Nothing will bring Cali back , but in her memory we can make sure no other family gets the news that their loved one is gone. Nobody should die trying to get home.
