Jim Lawson Commemoration @ Gladmere Baseball Diamond

0 have signed. Let’s get to 5,000!

As we approach the one year anniversary of loosing Jim to brain cancer we want to ensure his legacy and love for the game of baseball continues. Jim spent many hours at the Gladmere diamond coaching, mentoring and developing young athletes. Not to mention the countless days of upkeep, improvements and maintenance. He was so proud of each and every one of the players he had the opportunity to coach & play with throughout his 20 years in Calgary. It wasn't a job, career or volunteer position; it was his life. We have all been blessed to be a part of his life. Jim was a great coach & friend to many both on and off the field.

"A good coach can change a game a great coach can change a life". John Wooden.

We would like to apply to the city to have a plaque installed in the coaches box down the 3rd baseline at the Calgary Redbirds home field - as well as have the opportunity to request the City to rename the field after Jim - We would like to get as much support as possible. Please support this petition and share with all!
