A recent dispute with a condo board at Cranston Ridge in Calgary is putting a brain injured senior citizen at risk with both her mental and physical health. Brenda has a catastrophic brain injury which causes her to be very easily overstimulated and causes uncontrollable agitation and stress. To help her enjoy the warmer weather while being comfortable and safe on her patio a small privacy screen was put up along  with a small fountain and other plants. This little garden area brings her peace and comfort while enjoying fresh air and also keeps her safe from contracting COVID-19.  Although it is almost unnoticeable from the street the condo board is demanding it be removed immediately or large fines will be given.  A letter from the family physician and a letter from Alberta health services have been given to the condo board in support of this area being needed for Brenda's health and saftey but unfortunately the condo board and management company are unwilling to make any exceptions to accommodate the medical needs of this vulnerable senior.
