Mark Campbell must have been surprised by all of us who have been signing this petition. At noon today he wrote an op-ed piece in the Calaveras Enterprise trying to tone down his rhetoric from previous statements as well as continue to defend the closure. He even broadly stated funds from other sources might have to be utiliized using the old rubric "salaries". Coincidentally, parents were sending a flurry of press releases and emails out. Not to be mention having just gotten the 90th signer too.
