We, the undersigned, are deeply disturbed by the egregious acts of cruelty committed by Dean Bell against a defenseless cat in Daytona Beach, Florida. It has been reported that Mr. Bell trapped a cat and subjected it to horrifying mistreatment, including spraying it with high-pressure water in freezing weather and tilting the trap to further distress the trapped animal.

Despite being fined $2500, we believe that this punishment does not adequately reflect the severity of Mr. Bell's actions. Moreover, his refusal to disclose the whereabouts or fate of the cat exacerbates our concerns, leading us to fear for the safety and well-being of the innocent creature.

We call upon the authorities to reconsider the consequences imposed upon Mr. Bell and to pursue more stringent measures, such as arrest and incarceration, in accordance with the seriousness of his alleged offenses. It is imperative that individuals who commit such acts of cruelty are held accountable for their actions to ensure justice and to prevent further harm to animals in our community.
