Cache County has seen an extremely worrisome spike in instances of COVID-19 in recent weeks-- 1 in 90 people have tested positive (this is above 1%, a staggering "benchmark".) Studies show that mask wearing can decrease transmission of the virus to others by 75% or more. While opening the economy and keeping it open is paramount to the job security and financial stability of many workers in our state, we must protect them and the general public by mandating the wearing of masks, by everyone. This has be shown to be a successful measure passed in Salt Lake and Summit counties and approved by our governor, Gary Herbert.
