Jaimy Warner started this petition to Cabbagetown residents and
Fred Victor is opening a much needed 24 hour women's drop-in centre and the NIMBYs are NOT HAVING IT.
Some Cabbagetowners have created a petition which will accomplish absolutely nothing, save for letting folks who'll work at and use the centre know they're not welcome or wanted in Cabbagetown- a year away from the time their doors will even open.
We can do better.
Please sign this objection to the objection to the Women's Drop-in Centre if you agree we should be spending our time and effort helping people, not twisting ourselves into pretzels to rationalize internalized fears and biases about people at risk.
