We have received over 3000 signatures in a week! Great job! Keep up the work, spread the word. Our elected officials must know we're paying attention to their decisions and lack of vision for the education of our children, the betterment of our neighborhoods, and the impact this will have on our great city and county. With many young families moving into our area who desire neighborhood schools it is disheartening that our elected officials are willing to get rid of this rare commodity and the competitive edge it gives our county. Our district has embarked on an experiment in program choice and it's gotten to the point where those of us who want our children in our neighborhoods are seen as putting them at an academic disadvantage. Maybe we just have a vision for our communities that the officials are unwilling to see. This experiment has implications on our children, our families, our neighborhoods, and our city at large...yet we haven't had a citywide discussion about it.
