It would seem that BW campground is attempting to move the blame onto the local council. It may very well be the case so this petition will be forwarded on to them as well. But questions must be asked. From BW: " We most definitely didn't push for these changes. Would have been much simpler to remain status quo but we were one of the only place in NZ that was a BYO festival essentially and this was not permitted to continue. This is not a money making move, as to pass the drinks on as cheap as we are trying to means we are doing so at cost basically." If BW really is under all this pressure to change the licensing how is it that churchill, RnV camping and RnA all get to stay BYO?? This does not seem right. Even if they were under pressure i'm pretty sure they could have told the local council that they would make the changes the following year so as to be fair to all the festival goer's that have already purchased tickets expecting it to be BYO. In my opinion BW campground have handled this rather poorly. On a more positive note, thank you all for the 2000 signatures! Keep sharing this petition with friends.
