In another insightful article about the challenges facing Disney Plus, the absence of popular shows and films reflects a deeper issue in the market. This situation highlights how Disney's focus on what they think audiences want, rather than listening to actual viewer preferences, has led to a growing disconnect. Over the past few years, the company has made some questionable decisions that seem almost irrational, resulting in a decline in audience engagement. Despite significant financial investments, Disney Plus has failed to meet expectations or deliver on its promises. Much of the company's classic content remains inaccessible, and the limited offerings available often provoke frustration among Disney executives when the past is mentioned.

Steering the ship is Robert Iger whose replacement was Bob Chapek and how that one decision tarnished the Disney and Pixar brand in which rather then invest the money and time to build a sustainable business model, the idea of creating a streaming platform for people who love your films and shows should be straightforward enough but rather then capitalize on their legacy content or release the films to theaters and then wait to stream, the decision to make Pixar, into the streaming service’s main animation studio backfired and thus leaving Pixar in a state that would have been unthinkable several decades prior to its recent releases in which the film were major box office draws and the production value was top quality and despite being the highest rated and valued film studio of the early 2000s now Pixar faces layoffs, lack of direction and a declining market that no longer has any interest in seeing retreads, especially with how the studio has handled itself in terms of how they are perceived by the public.
