The cancellation of movies and projects tied to Planes and Cars highlights a troubling trend for the company. Not only did they incur significant losses on a car-related spin-off, but it also underscores the missed opportunity for potential profits from Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Instead of investing resources in a lackluster spin-off that failed to resonate with audiences, the company could have channeled its efforts into a project with far greater appeal and financial success.

The cost of restoring and brining the series up to the stnsrsre of high definition and surround sound would be a few thousand or less compared  to the disaster that was written off by Disney and Pixar.
