Bury's much loved Central Library floorspace has been reduced in size by 2/3. In May 2014 a sculpture centre replaced the lost space at a cost of £75,000 of public money and an ACE grant of £27,000.

Prior to the opening of the sculpture centre a petition against the changes collected 3,000 signatures which triggered a full council debate.

Over a year since the Save Bury Library campaign started there is still an active opposition group >>>Reinstate Bury Central Library (RBCL) which has 600+ members www.facebook.com/reinstateburylibrary

For a history of the campaign please see www.facebook.com/saveburylibrary.

Users and friends of Bury Central Library would like Bury Council to reinstate the lost library space for the benefit of the community.

The aim of this petition is to collect 2,500 signatures and trigger another full council debate.

Thank you for your support!
