Burlingame School District (BSD) abruptly terminated the Italian language elective at Burlingame Intermediate School (BIS) without any dialogue with the BSD parent and student community.  Parents of current Italian students were not formally contacted or engaged in the decision -- it was simply announced that electives were to be published this week and Italian was no longer an option. 

We seek to preserve this high value community program for Burlingame kids and appeal Board’s decision.  Please consider signing this letter in support of the petition.
