Thanks to your support with this petition, eBay had responded to my calls about banning glue traps on their website. They had assured me they will introduce prohibitions to all kinds of glue traps. More than a month later, I’m yet to see their final policy changes.

Today, can you retweet/ quote tweet this and tag @eBayAU to urge them to follow through with their promises?

This is what journalists had reported about eBay’s actions:

“Officially, eBay has banned the sale of glue traps, however, 9news.com.au found hundreds of glue trap products currently listed for sale on its site, some from Australian-based sellers.

These include rodent glue traps and others for insects.

"eBay is committed to animal welfare.” This means a number of animal traps, including glue traps, cannot be listed for sale," a spokesperson for eBay said.”

Click here to tweet at eBay and remind them that they are accountable to thousands of people

Currently, on eBay hundreds of animal glue traps are being listed as insect traps and sold by many many sellers. We know for a fact that every week, across Australia, wildlife carers find birds, frogs, pets caught in horrific pain on these glue traps. It’s a very real problem and we need fast, swift action to stop the torture.

If you're on Facebook, you can save the image by right clicking on it and go to Ebay's community page to post it, share the petition and ask them to #BanGlueTraps

Thank you for your support. Slowly, but surely people power will push these corporations to do the right thing.
