This petition is to show support and to prove there is a genuine need for a local skatepark in Massillon Ohio, Skateparks are proven to increase health, well-being, community cohesion whilst reducing social exclusion and anti-social behavior. The skatepark will not only benefit skatepark users, it will enhance the town and will be an asset to the whole community. As a skater I’ve seen what the community  can do  when we come together. I’ve watched 9th Street Diy in Canton Ohio grow from one small half pipe to one of the best skateparks in Ohio through the support of the city of canton and a group of skaters who cared. I believe with the finical and legal support of The city of Massillon Could do the same thing. I’ve witnessed the community come together before and I would love to see it happen again so current and future generations of Massillon have a free to use, safe, all inclusive facility for all ages to enjoy a passion we all  truly care about
