Thunderdome, created by Rob Lehr, started around four years ago and has been a large part of not only the local Nerf community, but the national community as well. Basically, Thunderdome is a backyard nerf arena that he built from the ground up with the hopes of being able to reach out to the community to let others know they were not alone, and if they needed a safe place to go that Thunderdome was always welcoming. Rob has put his life and soul into making this dream a reality. Other Thunderdomes are starting to pop up all over the nation as a result of Rob's positive message, and by protecting the original Thunderdome we are protecting the fledgling nerf areas by extension. The people who meet through Thunderdome are no longer just random strangers who could have met on the street, but people who call each other family. Rob takes everyone in and never turns anyone away, and believe it or not he has saved people's lives. Thunderdome saves people's lives. People come to Thunderdome for the nerf battles, but the overarching agenda has been for a long time, suicide prevention. If you consider Rob family, then we need your help making this petition happen. He has done so much and cared so deeply for his community, and now it is our turn to show him that we care.
