Happy [Snowy] Monday Morning!

So we broke a 40 year record - and there is no end in sight! Literally, have you looked at the 10-day forecast?!

Over the weekend we officially surpassed 1,500 supporters for a Park City Town Bunny Hill, and we are still counting! I am incredibly moved by the show of want and need for an outdoor "ski" activity for children during the winter.

Parks are a no-go covered in snow. Snowball fights only last so long. So do up and down hikes for a quick two-second sled. Our imagined carpet-accessed bunny hill will provide the convenience, accessibility, and affordability that every Parkite is in dire need of for their toddlers and young children (and grandchildren).

Friday I had the pleasure of speaking to Lora Smith of Mountain Trails Foundation and Cheryl Fox of the Summity County Land Conservancy. From these two amazing individuals I was able to gain a better understanding of how trails are groomed in the winter and who grooms them, some of the technicalities around town with regards to land (still a lot to learn here), and they each offered some of their own ideas, as well as concerns that need to be considered.

On the point of land technicalities, this is our big focus! Landing on the scale/size of land we are seeking is important to moving forward with our "ask." I will be asking Ken Fisher to coffee...

Great way to rally, Park City! Keep on sharing the idea with all that you know here in town and let's show to city, the county, and interested private parties that the community to speaking to them!

Ps. On a personal note, thank you to everyone that has been cheering me on and commending my efforts! I was not expecting much from my actions and now it is just snowballing (pun intended)! With such tremendous support behind me from wonderful individuals, there is no doubt in my mind we can make this happen.
