Our community needs public Primary and High Schools to urgently be built at Huntlee. Branxton Public School is wonderful but far beyond capacity, and Rutherford High School is overcrowded and difficult to access for Branxton/Greta/Huntlee/North Rothbury residents.  A lack of dedicated school buses to both schools is also an ongoing issue. We call on the State Government, and all local candidates in the upcoming state election, to commit to providing funding to build public schools at Huntlee. The state government has approved 7500 houses to be built there, and needs to meet the education needs of those families, and those in the surrounding areas. This issue impacts families in both Cessnock and Upper Hunter electorates.
