The Whittle Gardens estate has been under construction for almost 5 years. Yet, amidst the constant development, one simple but incredibly crucial feature has been overlooked - a zebra crossing on Innsworth Lane.

Every day, twice a day, our kids are in danger crossing this busy road on their way to and from school. We have patiently waited, but the time for action is now.

According to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, pedestrian casualties accounted for 24% of killed or seriously injured road users in the Gloucestershire area in 2019. 

We believe that by working together, we can make Innsworth Lane safer for everyone, especially our children. We call upon Gloucestershire Highways to heed our call and implement a pedestrian zebra crossing on Innsworth Lane without further delay.
