Wilson’s skateboarding community deserves a safe, modern skatepark that reflects the needs of our growing city. The current skatepark has become outdated and no longer provides the quality or safety that local skaters, families, and beginners deserve.

A new concrete skatepark would create a welcoming space for children, teens, and adults to stay active, build confidence, make friends, and enjoy a positive outdoor activity. Skateboarding promotes physical fitness, creativity, perseverance, and mental well-being while giving young people a healthy place to spend their time.

Communities across North Carolina have invested in modern skateparks because they recognize the positive impact they have on youth, local businesses, and community engagement. Wilson should be no different.
