The Issue

The City of Penticton claims to be a destination for travelers, yet it neglects to provide essential services for RV tourists. The absence of a sani dump sends a message that RV tourists are not a priority, despite their contribution to the local economy. Both Vernon and Kelowna have acknowledged the importance of accommodating RV visitors by establishing sani dumps, with Vernon having opened theirs in 2025 and Kelowna soon to follow. Penticton risks being left behind by not providing this basic yet vital facility.

A public sani dump located adjacent to the city yard would be ideal, offering a convenient location accessible to locals and tourists alike, 7 days a week. This would enhance the overall visitor experience and promote Penticton as a forward-thinking, tourist-friendly destination. By investing in this infrastructure, the city can demonstrate its commitment to welcoming all types of travelers and ensuring they have a pleasant stay.

Let's urge the City of Penticton to prioritize the construction of a public sani dump. Your support can make a significant difference in bringing attention to this issue and encouraging action from city officials. Please sign this petition to help make Penticton a more accommodating and welcoming place for RV tourists.
